Attorney admitted to the Madrid Bar – Antitrust & Competition

Elisa is a member of the Madrid Bar and a Junior Associate in the Antitrust & Competition practice of Callol, Coca & Asociados. She holds a dual degree in Spanish and French law and has worked in Madrid and Paris, both in leading law firms and in-house at one of France’s largest retail groups. This gives her a cross-border view of EU and national competition matters.

Before joining the firm, she trained in the antitrust teams of Bird & Bird in Paris and MLAB in Madrid. Before that, she spent a year in the competition legal department of Groupement Les Mousquetaires in Paris. There she worked on merger risk assessments, responses to information requests from competition authorities, and coordination with external counsel in competition proceedings and strategic litigation.

Dual Degree in Spanish and French Law, Complutense University of Madrid and Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Master’s Degree in Competition and Distribution Law, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, with a research project on the French hygiene and home-care products cartel case (Autorité de la concurrence, Decision 14-D-19). Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession, UNIR, with a research project on third-party litigation funding in competition law.

Elisa assists national and multinational companies in:

  • merger control and foreign direct investment (FDI) screening in Spain
  • antitrust investigations before the European Commission and national competition authorities, including dawn raids and responses to information requests
  • judicial review of competition authority decisions
  • competition damages actions

She also advises on distribution, franchise and other vertical agreements, and on competition compliance, including bid-rigging risks in public procurement. She regularly co-authors articles and commentaries on competition law developments.
